Product Description
The secondary surface of feedforward Cassegrain CATR is a rotating hyperbolic surface, a rotating parabolic surface is as primary surface. The secondary surface calibrates the spherical wave sending by the feed to the spherical wave sending by the virtual source, and then the main surface calibrates it to a plane wave again. In generally a feedforward "4" - shaped structure used to achieve a large equivalent focal radius ratio, which reach 7:1 or even larger and improve the spatial attenuation uniformity of main polarization. In theoretically the cross polarization under the illumination of the polarized feed is zero when the feedforward Cassegrain CATR matching circular symmetry condition.
In practically such as some influences from manufacturing accuracy, edge diffraction and anechoic chamber conditions, the cross polarization can’t be zero, but still be -40dB below.
