Technical Features
The ST feed cover from 2 to 40 GHz in the standard frequency band and adopts a corrugated horn design. Its dual-polarization models support horizontal/vertical dual-line polarization and support automatic electro-control polarization switching test across the full frequency band. The cross-polarization suppression ≤ -30 dB and the gain ≥ 8 dBi. The single-polarization models also adopt the corrugated horn design and have been widely used in compact range system.
Application Background
For conventional microwave measurement scenarios, such as satellite antenna and communication antenna tests, it can also be used for precise electromagnetic characteristic test (such as antenna pattern calibration of compact range system, analysis of target scattering characteristics) and RCS test demand. It cover full frequency band, flexible polarization switching or multi-frequency band rapid scanning and supports full frequency band polarization switching and signal analysis.
Advantages
The feed has full-band coverage capability (0.3 - 40 GHz) and supports dual-polarization electronic control switching and single-polarization wide-band configuration, it can match the requirements of various testing scenarios. The system performs well in terms of radiation performance with gain ≥ 7 dBi in the low-frequency band and up to 11.5 dBi in the high-frequency band. The pattern is stable and the beam width is precisely controlled. Additionally, the feed has excellent impedance matching characteristics (excellent standing wave ratio performance), ensuring efficient signal transmission. The system is highly compatible, supporting multi-feed integration and automatic switching. Via simulation verification and field tests (including pattern, standing wave ratio and cross-polarization tests), the performance is guaranteed to be reliable. All technical parameters are derived from simulation and field test data, it can match all test demands.
Characteristics
(1) Stable basic performance
Designed for single-reflector compact range system, beam is wide and perfectly matches the reflector. It can significantly reduce the taper and ripple of the quiet zone amplitude, maintains a stable phase center, coincides with the focus of the reflector within the operating frequency band and ensures test accuracy.
(2) Standardized interfaces and compatibility
Using standard RF connectors such as N-type, SMA, and 2.92, it is convenient for quick cable connection. Equipped with dedicated connection brackets, it improves installation accuracy and reduces the interference of the brackets on the radiation pattern.
